OwnCloud 8.1 and wrongly displayed names

I found several discussions about CardDAV and OwnCloud on Jolla but not the one that can describe at best my issue.

I have OwnCloud running on my Raspberry and I synced CardDAV with my Jolla, but names are displayed like lastname;firstname and multiple telephone entries are grouped on a single entry.

How can I troubleshoot and resolve this?

Jolla on Sailfish OS 1.1.9.28 Raspberry model B on Debian 7 Owncloud 8.1.3 stable on a LAMP stack

Hello,

today I got the same problem. I could find an answer to this.

Beside the name field when you edit your contact appears a pen-symbol when you place your mouse cursor there. Click on this pen and the name field will expand and let you edit first and last name. The displayed name that you got stands in the last name field.

@hepheistos5585 You gave me the right input :)

Since the source of the problem seems to be OwnCloud itself, I started to dig into the roots of the issue.

In particular, my contacts were imported via a csv file from my Google account. So I tried different export formats and i found vCard to be compatible with OC. Now both name and number fields are correctly set.

I hope this can be helpful to you too - so no need of manual editing again in the future :)

For Outlook.com Export:

I imported the contacts from a csv too but mine was from Outlook.com. When choosing the option "export for other services" it didn't work for me and caused the display issue. Unfortunately it seems that OWA from Outlook.com cannot export to a vcf compatible format so we have to edit the contacts manually if we want to import. So I hope that this option will be available in the future. Thanks for your reply.
