why all favourite ambiences are available from lock screen? [answered]

Hello,

why is it possible to change our ambience when the phone is locked on sfos 1.1.9.28?
I don't find that it make sense.
Don't want that anyone could do it if i have locked it.

But i can represent myself that a lot's of people want it indeed.
But a lot not too.

So i would make a suggestion to make it possible or not with a setting button (or i don't know what). Or make a further option in each ambience, which enable to make it available from lock screen.

Hei,

While it's convenient to silence a phone while locked, it also can have some inconveniences.

Imagine leaving your phone on your desk. It is locked. You go to get a coffee, but leave the phone on the desk. One of your colleagues is a funny guy and silences your phone. You don't notice it when getting back. You are missing some important calls, notifications.

Just guessing you meant lock screen, so it very well makes sense to have ambience switcher also there. It's the new way of silencing your phone, by choosing silent ambience.

Could you read the whole thread please?
i suggested too to give a button in each ambience setting to make the dedicated ambience in lock-screen available or not

Ambiences are neither system nor security critical, as of yet. And as backgrounds are shown on the locked screen, you better keep your naughty stuff off ambiences anyway ;)

but belong to private sphere. it would avoid or reduce the flexibility to the unknown person to make change on your ambience without your permission. that's is may phone, with my ambience, and not to one for other one. my naughty stuff stay at home by closing the door not in my phone ;-)

better giving the ability to bound ambience to gps locations or microphone, to change it depends on location or noisy environnemnt (approach of mood). That would be a great suggestion not?

Changing ambiences by hand, needs to be quick and dirty! Always! So the only thing I would commit to is to have a choice in which ambiences are shown but then again why the heck? The ambiences you need on the hot seat are things that change environment 180° anyway so you can actually care less about it.
