Preconditions: Working google account defined in Jolla

Steps: 1. Change google accounts password for example in desktop browser, but do not change it in Jolla 2. Send some mail to that account

Expected result: Mail is not received to Jolla and cannot be read

Actual result: Mail notification is shown in Jolla. Mail can be read.

Tried this again and same result, mail can be read even if there is old password.

Might be bug in goolge's side, but that old password does not work in any other place than Jolla (tried android device and desktop).

It is not a bug. The phone does not store the password. It stores a token. You have to revoke it. Login to your google account via browser.

And so perhaps the OP should to open a feature request (it's not really a bug) with Google, to e.g. pop up a reminder to review the allowed devices every time somebody changes the account password.

I think it is actually bug, because in account creation phase neither Jolla or Google tells that access is done with token and it is not changed when password changes. If user loses device, it may be assumed that accounts cannot be used after password changed. I think at least there should be some info text about this feature, maybe google side could have also feature that it resets tokens after password is changed.

This is intended behaviour. I remember that when I added my Google account, Google asked if I wanted to give permissions for Jolla. So yes, it is clearly token based. If the device is stolen, you can remove the token from your Google account management page. Here is a screenshot: image description
