Dear communtity!

When I enter a multiday-event that lasts the whole day directly in Google Calendar and I then sync my Jolla with Google calendar, my phone allways does'nt show the last day of the event. When I enter the same event as whole-day-event and repeat it for the whished amount of days, the event is shown correctly. For me it seems that the Calendar App interprets the last day of the multiday-event as if the event ends whith the beginning of the last day!

Am I doing something wrong or is there a solution for this (in my eyes) bug?

Update: I just tried to enter such a multiday-event with my phone. Well first it shows correctly, it syncs with google correctly but when my phone syncs back from google the event is one day short. It still shows correctly on Google or if I use Thundrbird, its only crippled in Calendar App.

Well, I forgot: I'm using SOS 2.0.0.10.

Update 2: Well, when you enter an end time for a multiday-event, so the last day is no "whole" day, the entry seemes to work. It seem to me that Calendar interprets "Whole day" as "til 0:00" instead of "till 23:59", or am I mistaken?

Thank You very much, broncheoli.

I experienced a similar thing with birthday dates. Suddenly 1 day early. Saimaa 2.0.0.10, CalDAV working, CardDAV continues failing.
Since I stopped using Googevil and continue using Posteo the issue did not re-appear. d

Sounds like this: Calendar: Problem with multi-day events from Google cal.

For me it's the same tune but definitely a different piece of music. ;-)

Thanks for the report. I've created the following bug to track this issue, and will investigate https://bugs.merproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1483

@chris.adams Oh, I didn't see this post and that bug-to-track! I will close it: https://together.jolla.com/question/135971/sync-bug-calendar-google-account-with-all-day-events-on-more-than-one-day/

Well, @dietmar, lets give posteo a try. Located in Germany, makes in even more likeable. Thanks a lot.

But from jollas point of view, Ithink, the issue should be solved, caus google calendar seems to be quite popular! ;-)

AS far as I can see, for now it works like a charm (posteo), problem seems not to be present. Maybe because the calendar is used as CalDav and not as google account? I will do further investigations! Thanks a lot!

Greetings,broncheoli.

Here we go again!

So far I have not yet tested Google over CalDav but i have an update about posteo. My multiday-test-event shows the following behaviour: When I start CalApp it seems that CalApp does not emediately sync with posteo. I check my test event and voila, the last day is missing!!! A few seconds later (after syncing??) the last day is back again.

So, I think there is definitely a bug in syncing with or interpreting CalDav in CalApp. I hope for a fix because there is allways the smell of unreliability in CalApp around even if its not true.

Sail on, greetings from Austria, and have a nice evening, broncheoli.
