Ambience is not a feature I use a lot, I had the default one since months.
Today, I wanted to change it and I realized that I was not able to do this. The Ambience menu is empty. When I set a picture as an ambience, nothing happens, the ambience menu remains empty. Same result when I change TOH, it installs the new ambience but nothing more.
I run btrfs balance and it's Ok. I have Sailfish 2.0.1.11.
Any idea?

pkcon install jolla-preload-ambiences
systemctl-user restart ambienced.service
Hmmm, my phone also can't find this...
[root@Jolla nemo]# rpm -V jolla-preload-ambiences
package jolla-preload-ambiences is not installed
[root@Jolla nemo]#
Probably Jolla removed it... But this one exist, try to reinstall it:
pkcon install jolla-gallery-ambience
Maybe it will help...
