I just got my FP2 and installed FP2-sailfishos-2.0.0.10-alpha1-fastboot on it.

But there is no sound coming out from the speaker/headphone plugs when testing the ringtones. Unfortunately I did not test if the speakers are working with original Android, so I am not sure if this is a software or hardware issue. On https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris/Install_SailfishOS_for_fp2 is stated: "Speakerphone volume control doesn't work."

So is this a known bug? Will there be a fix for it? Can I switch on the sound manually with some other tools?

I mean, a phone without sound is a bit useless ;-)

Works also for me. Did you read the information about the needed android version? May be you have to downgrade the android version first. With alpha2 (comming soon i hope) this downgrade should no be nessecary any more.

You probably have too new Android installed on FP2 which will cause many problems. Please try to first install Fairphone 2 Android version 1.1.7 and then install Sailfish port alpha1 using the instructions in Mer wiki. Next Sailfish release with work with the latest Fairphone Android releases.
