I have this very weird issue with the proximity sensor on my Jolla C. I like to use the low-power-mode to check time, since I don't own a regular watch. Thing is that it works perfect if I use my Jolla C clean, with no cover case, but as soon as I put my phone into any wallet case (I've tried two different), the sneak peek feature stops working. I don't have this problem with my first Jolla. When opening the cover case, the clock shows nicely.

Any ideas about what could be the problem? Is it possible to fine tune the sensor, any way?

Edit:
Am I really the only one experiencing this, or am I the only one using a booklet/wallet case?

Important discovery! Just a clarification for ordinary users: this sneak peak is (currently) an advanced feature enabled in developer mode.

@t0mps0 In simple terms, when you take the phone out of your pocket, it shows a quick glimpse of the clock on screen. Search the board for "low power mode" to know more.

@eson: Any chance that the cover has glossy black surface facing the sensor area when closed? At least some proximity sensors can have problems detecting such materials (lpm is triggered with proximity sensor, not light sensor). You might try if adding masking tape (or anything relatively light matte material) to the relevant place on the cover makes any difference.

No, the cover is kind of 'flossy' black matte.
I've also tested others, non of them glossy, and non of hem working. Except for one with also flossy matte material, but red instead of black. I can take anything else like clothing, my finger or a blanket, and it works just fine.
This is a real mystery to me.

@spiiroin A small piece of semi-white surgical tape actually did the trick! Thanks a lot for the hint. :-)
