can't connect to O2's 3G in UK. Have submitted a ticket a week ago but no reply. Can I return the device cause this is a deal breaker.

Do you have the correct APN settings set in Systemsettings -> Mobile Network -> Long Press on the first entry and hit edit. APN should be: mobile.o2.co.uk Username: o2web Password: password

It indeed helps. Thanks so much! I did not know of the 'long press' feature. I was expecting a menu item or an setting option for that, similar to whats in N9. I don't understand why they didn't follow the N9 UI design. :(

Btw the location for this setting on Jolla is the most obscure ever. I would never have thought to do a long press on that first item...
