I'd like to buy a Sailfish phone and since the Aqua Fish is the only available one at the moment, my question is: Will it work with T-Mobile Austria? I'm having a hard time comparing frequencies, bands and stuff, so any help is appreciated :) Thanks!

ebay.in Here it says, the phone supports these bands:

2G bands: 1900\1800\900\850, Bands 2,3,5,8 -- 3G bands: 2100\900, Bands 1,8 -- 4G bands: 2300\1800\850, Bands 3,5 (FDD) and 40 (TDD)

Here is some official information about the frequencies used in Austria: rtr.at

This answer is is wrong. That page claims the Aqua Fish supports 2600 which it does not. The only overlapping LTE band I see is 1800. (GSM and UMTS looks OK) Unfortunately I cannot find any info on how wide-spread that LTE 1800 coverage is. I assume that is the latest addition as in some other EU countries, and that it will not be added to the countryside. (The lower frequencies like 800 give better coverage.)

Thanks for your answers. So the phone will work, I often won't have 4G coverage, but 3G is fine? Greets

The "Jolla Aqua Fish Dual SIM TD-LTE" is the Jolla C

There is also the "Intex Aqua Fish TD-LTE Dual SIM" https://www.frequencycheck.com/carrier-compatibility/ZgD0tL6/intex-aqua-fish-td-lte-dual-sim/t-mobile-austria Only 1800 is supported.

the network's frequency bands seems to be wrong as well, at least on a first check on german networks. to me https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks_in_Europe seems to be a better source

JollaC (I think same HW) works fine with tele.ring (Same network as T-Mobile). I haven't noticed any difficulties in network coverage.
