i have read somewhere during surfing. "#1 Facebook Everywhere The makers have integrated Facebook to the basic level of the phone. Facebook photos can be opened from the phones default gallery without even opening the app. The Facebook messenger can be used to chat directly from the default SMS app." i tried on my intex aqua fish but there is nothing in default sms app. this is link for that news https://thejollablog.wordpress.com/2013/12/27/6-sailfish-os-features-that-android-and-ios-lack/

AFAIK no more and Facebook cosed their APIs for this stuff.

Yes it was supported until Facebook changed/closed APIs, the article you refer to is from end of 2013. For now, messaging is missing until further notice.

Well us that hooked on to it still have that option working.... The messenger account plugin is available on https://openrepos.net/content/nodevel/facebook-messenger-account been tested and confirmed working on 2.0.2, so you should definitely use that for the facebook messenger plugin from messaging app, hope this is helpful for you...
