[Implemented in 1.0.3.8] E-mail account not accepting [answered]

Hi everybody. It's a couple of weeks now that I'm trying to configure tha Mail app with my data but the only thing I got is a blink of the screen when pushing the "accept" button. Does anybody has some clue of what can be the problem? (I have my personal mail, linked to my personal website, so nothing like a big provider). Hope that somebody can help me, Thewas

Where are you getting this ? In accounts after entering the credentials or in which phase ?

I get it in the very first screen when creating my mail account. After filling all the data when I push the "accept" button (donnow the exact translation from italian, but it's the top-right button) the screen blink and nothing happens. And no error message are shown. Edit: I tried with different accounts and excluding different field, just to test, but nothing seems to change.

That's very strange not a known issue afaik. What SW release are you running ? And you are using the "Email" type of account right ?

I'm running 1.0.2.5 (think it's the last release) and yes, I'm talking about the "Email" account. It's actually strange, especially for the lack of any error message.

I had the same behaviour when I didn't fill in all the information (e.g. ports etc, then it just won't let me gon on but blinks on pulling from right to left.)

OK, looks things got better. I reinstall the app, took out and back in the SIM card, pray a bit, and pay an African wizard to clean the doom from my phone. (BTW I did it al least twice in the last week) Then it magically worked. With the same exact settings I was trying the last 3 weeks. Thanks all.
