When an e-mail is deleted, it is moved to a folder named “Trash” and it doesn’t seem possible to change it. (All my other clients are configured to use a localized name: « Corbeille ».)

It’s certainly true for the “Sent” folder as well but I can’t tell: I haven’t been able to send any e-mail so far.

Edit: it’s also confusing because the app shows localized names for its hardcoded folders, so I see two folders named « Envoyés » (“Sent”): the folder actually named « Envoyés » on the server, and what the application thinks is my folder for sent messages.

it's the same for the sent folder :(

Yeah. It would be great to configure the (IMAP) folders used my mail app for sent/trash/junk. There was a 3rd party app for Meego (N9) that could do it. So it should be doable on Jolla as well ;-)

Yes, configurable default imap folders is a must. Good to know that "Deleted Items" are "Trash" on Jolla, but are you sure "Sent" is the folder for "Sent Items"? I have both of these created in my Dovecot account but although mails are sent they are not saved to any of them. Also, the Inbox item I replied to/forwarded does not get this flag set.

Guess the email app has some distance to make.

UPDATE: I enabled email app debugging as proposed here https://together.jolla.com/question/18378/how-to-debug-email-application-reason-email-sync-with-imap-server-fails-with-server-error/ and had a look what happens if I send an email. Well, not much useful information. After the sending part this is what I get:

[919] Feb 28 22:03:45 [Debug] IMAP : "1" RECV: * CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 LITERAL+ SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS ID ENABLE IDLE SORT SORT=DISPLAY THREAD=REFERENCES THREA D=REFS THREAD=ORDEREDSUBJECT MULTIAPPEND URL-PARTIAL CATENATE UNSELECT CHILDREN NAMESPACE UIDPLUS LIST-EXTENDED I18NLEVEL=1 CONDSTORE QRESYNC ESEARCH ESORT SEAR CHRES WITHIN CONTEXT=SEARCH LIST-STATUS SPECIAL-USE BINARY MOVE

This "unable to folder" sounds like it could be part of my problem. Anyone knows what the "sent items" folder needs to be called? Is it case sensitive?

I don’t know, I haven’t been able to send a single message.

@Tim Drub - Can you send entire log to mail-logs at jolla dot com, you can hide your personal info with some XXXX marks(leave standard folder names at least intact, sent, drafts, trash), better if you remove the log file, reboot the device and then reproduce the problem. Thanks a lot!
