LPM (Low Power Mode) breaks Lock-/Homescreen in 2.0.4.13 [released]

Tracked by Jolla (In progress)

As discussed in https://together.jolla.com/question/147360/homescreen-crash-in-20413-jolla-c/, the LPM mode ("mcetool --set-low-power-mode=enabled") breaks the Lock-/Homescreen. This is so sad as this is a real great feature (I loved it most on my Nokia N9). Hopefully this gets fixed for the final 2.0.4 release.

It works for me... I had LPM activated before upgrade and it still works. I use the Jolla 1.

There is already an internal bug ticket for this issue.

So far it seem that the issue occurs only in Jolla C and AquaFish phones.

While it can be reproduced quite reliably, it would be nice to know if it has occurred to anyone before upgrading to 2.0.4.

EDIT:

I found probable reason for the breakage. Affects Jolla C, Aquafish and Turing phones (and probably all community ports that use the same qt5-qpa-hwcomposer-plugin variant as those do) with sfos 2.0.4.

EDIT2:

Fixed in: qt5-qpa-hwcomposer-plugin >= 5.6.2.0

EDIT3:

The fix is scheduled to be included in 2.0.5 upgrade.

It was working perfectly on my jolla C during the last two months. I encountered this bug just after the 2.0.4 update. I had to disable LPM and to wait for a fix. Good to hear that there is already an internal ticket for that!

Great to hear! Enabling LPM was one of the first things I did after unpacking Jolla C and since then it worked great, until the upgrade to 2.0.4.13

I had this with 1.0.2.51 on Moto G (falcon). Could be different bug, but symptoms were same and it was cured by disabling LPM.

2.0.5.6 early release update seems to solve the problem on Jolla C.
