Mailbox sync issue
Hi,
I have four mailboxes synced with my phone: one non-Gmail, three Gmail. When I use my phone home, or on 2-3-4G networks, everything is fine. However, everyday I pass through a location there is a password restricted WiFi area. In this location one needs to enter a password and username on a website (1.1.1.1) to access Internet. My phone automatically joins this WiFi network (as I once had access, but not anymore). Naturally none of the mailboxes sync while in this location, as there is no access to Inet. When I leave the location my non-Gmail mailbox works fine, all other Inet functions operate smoothly, but the Gmail mailboxes get in to an endless loop and do not sync, unless I restart my device. After that everything is cool, until I need to pass through the same location again (as noted: everyday).
not a fix or workaround, but maybe you can stop this daily annoyance if you delete this access point from your list. goto: settings > wlan, find the accesspoint and long press should give the option to 'forget network'
