[help-request] Google Contacts two-way sync doubles number entries

I noticed this some time ago - I have accounts with Exchange, Google, old Facebook (from back when it still worked!) and local phone contacts that I've built up since my N95 all those years ago. Net result, recent Sailfish versions result in duplicate contacts when you link them. This is most noticeable when you have them flagged as favourites, but they will appear twice in the search results too, and opening either gives the aggregated contact info.

Digging into this, I had a poke around the SQLite DB the contacts are stored in and found that after linking both contacts appeared to be marked as aggregate contacts? I manually deleted the newest aggregate contact in each case and it seemed to resolve the issue for me, but backup first, and take care. as they say, your mileage may vary.

It would be very useful if the UI gave us a way to unlink contacts, but c'est la vie.

Somehow on Sailfish 3 double contacts appears also when you make a favorite/bookmarked contact from an existing list of contact, after a 2 way sync to Nextcloud you have double contact on your phone so the bookmarked contacts appears twise.

If you have extra time on your hands I suggest you link them together. This avoids the problem from reappearing. I had the same thing and found it to be the smartest (but very labour intensive) solution
