Last half a year I had multiple issues with phone restarting itself while being idle.

I notice it only when I need to use it - when I look at clock by unblocking, it just shows normal lockscreen with clock, not showing that it had restarted. Only after entering screen unlock code, I get to the PIN input prompt and only then I understand, that phone restarted some time before. Only way to notice it had restarted is to see that there is no network coverage (even thou I go to areas, where network coverage are constantly low), and then unblock it to check wether it is showing PIN request or not. I have missed multiple calls and could not react to couple emergency situations. This phone is unreliable... But I don't want to switch to android :(

How to find out what causes these restarts? Some event viewer (I'm windows guy), or other administrative logfile?

I wish there was a way to display phone status in lock screen. In worst case scenario, display PIN request before screen unlock prompt, so that I can know when it is OK and when it is not.

Same problem here, it began 10 days ago.

I have a friend that had the same problem maybe 6 months ago with his Jolla Phone. It kept rebooting randomly more and more often until it finally died.

Use Journal Viewer app from Open Repos, or extract journal which usually tracks since last restart. Maybe there are other journal recording apps that track accross phone restart, then simply have the journal record actions and view critical faults.

terminal entry:

journalctl --priority 3 or journalctl --priority=3

Different priorities for viewing different events.

I finally installed journal viewer, but there is too much stuff. Is there anything specific, any keywords, or something else, that would allow me to find the cause? There are SO MANY errors in there...
