Updated to 2.1.0.9. Mediaplayer shows no music files anymore on the sd-card. The old command line "tracker-control" says invalid command and suggests the (new?) command "tracker", but how to use it to reindex the media database? Btw, the reindexing through the settings -> utils didn't work, and removing and reinstalling jolla-mediaplayer with pkcon didn't help either. Thanks for any hint.

yes, sure, already did so, a simple tracker indexdidn't help either. I wonder when the old tracker-control command was dumped.

Check tracker --help

Don't know if there's a more convenient way, but tracker reset -e and reboot, seem to do the trick

Then there must be some other error on your system, because that command did rebuild database on my device. Had to give it some time though.

Is that the sam as was tracker-control -e before?

yes @hook, the new command is as shown; tracker reset -e - certainly works as expected on my device.

Usage:

  tracker reset [OPTION...]

Application Options:

-r, --hard Kill all Tracker processes and remove all databases
-e, --soft Same as --hard but the backup & journal are restored after restart
-c, --config Remove all configuration files so they are re-generated on next start

You could use sailfish-utilities. Look it up in Jolla store.
