I recently bought obd car doctor for Android . It is not pairing with elm327 obd connector with normal Bluetooth or ble.I downloaded obd fish from open repos and it works. When we can expect Bluetooth pairing for android ?I think it's a basic features that we need. sadly obd fish doesn't support features of obd car doctor application .

Well, it's more of a missing feature than a bug. Nevertheless, this issue is old and have been discussed many times before.

Thanks for the answer. On that link it is saying Jolla is more concentrating more on tablet build. (now seriously...). Also, 2/ Version of Alien Dalvik shipped with Jolla is 4.1 - BTLE/"Bluetooth Smart" is supported ONLY from Android version 4.3 (and above...) => Fact: considering Google code policies for Android v4.3+, Alien ... In my intex AIDA64 is showing the android version as 4.4.4(kitkat) , still it is not working. In the OBD application I have both blutetooth and BLE option. It is also not working with bluetooth. Since OBD fish is working I must assume that sailfish implements the required Bluetooth profile. I would like to have pairing option right away from android vm , not by going to the bluetooth setting of sailfish os. It is also a pity that this has been requested back in 2014 and still not implemented in 2017.

@Krishnan yes it is an old topic, and nothing much has happened - until very recently. First the Alien-Dalvik is not capable of accessing/using the Bluetooth hardware for Android apps. That is is the original issue in the old question/discussion. Secondly, Sailfish itself is not BLE capable, yet. In the latest pre-release, 2.1.0, BLE was introduced for developers for testing. So it will take a while before regular users actually can use BLE in native SFOS apps.
