Not working anymore :
now I have :
[nemo@Sailfish ~]$ jolla-camera
[D] unknown:0 - Using Wayland-EGL
[W] unknown:0 - CameraBin error: "Could not initialize supporting library."
(jolla-camera:23193): GStreamer-CRITICAL **:
Trying to dispose element video-encodebin, but it is in READY (locked) instead of the NULL state.
You need to explicitly set elements to the NULL state before
dropping the final reference, to allow them to clean up.
This problem may also be caused by a refcounting bug in the
application or some element.
Anybody idea ?
What worked for me i reinstall jolla camera + jolla camera settings following this good tutorial:
reboot phone and it is ok so far .....hope it helps ..
Turn on Terminal: Apps -> Settings -> Developer tools -> Developer mode ON, setup and save the password in the corresponding item
Notice: my phone's language is Russian, translations of menu items is rough (or may be rough)
Open apps, run Terminal and see CLI (command line terminal)
Type "devel-su pkcon remove jolla-camera jolla-camera-settings" and execute (press enter). After this, entering the password (installed in the first act above), confirm the removing package (type "y" and press enter) if necessary, and waiting for the end
For cheeking: type "pkcon search name camera" and press enter. In the list you'll see packages "jolla-camera" & "jolla-camera-settings" marked as "available"
Type "devel-su pkcon refresh" and press enter. After this, entering the password and waiting for the end of updating the list of packages
Type "devel-su pkcon install jolla-camera jolla-camera-settings" and press enter. Confirm installing if necessary
For cheeking: type "pkcon search name camera" and press enter. In the list you'll see packages "jolla-camera" & "jolla-camera-settings" marked as "installed"
Close the terminal, open apps menu. The camera app will be in the end of the list
start it as normal user from terminal, not root. a) it.works on my aqua as normal.user.. b) the.error is the one that you get, when you try to start something as root and the 'home-dir' is not set

nkadithya31 ( 2017-05-23 05:53:19 +0200 )edithave you tried re-installing the camera app? Probably after a pkcon refresh? as user in the terminal run pkcon refresh command. After that you could re-install the camera app with pkcon install jolla-camera command
