a while ago, my jolla's calendar stopped to sync with google and update to 2.1.1 Jämsänjoki did not change this. I am sure it's a duplicate too, but.. could someone point me to

how to get a stuck sailfish google sync engine to work again? (the calendar only, contacts seem ok) thanks a lot.

I guess you have already tried to delete the account on the phone and build it up again?

thank you, no I did not but it helped.

well it worked exactly once, and as soon as I had added several events in Sailfish Calendar sync is blocked again. This time both ways. No sync from Google to Jolla, no sync from Jolla to Google.

now I deleted the calendar database https://together.jolla.com/question/164286/how-to-reset-calendar-completely/ and re-installed the google account. As soon as I entered a new appointment in Sailfish calendar, sync stops completely, in both ways. Deleting the item does not bring sync back.

There is someone asking that his jolla's calendar stopped to sync with google and update to 2.1.1 Jämsänjoki that did not alter this. Just open australia assignment as soon as possible. The person is sure it's identical too, but could someone point his out if there is any other reason of this error? It would be great if someone helps him out.

I presume your problem may be caused by an imported .ics calendar entry. Look at the question https://together.jolla.com/question/136229/lost-caldav-connection-with-owncloud/ with some tips how to get log messages and verify that you don't have any calendar entries causing the sync process to stop. I had that before and solved it by deleting the corresponding appointment.

Here you can find some other log entry examples that may refer to similat problem https://together.jolla.com/question/153631/release-notes-210iijoki-released/?answer=156890#post-id-156890

Thank you, I will try this. However I am not aware if importing any .ics. Well, yes I do import train scedules via my Google calendar .. soo that could be a reason.

I'd think so. For me it was an imported .ics calendar entry I received from my Car-Sharing-Provider after booking a car.

Did you try to delete those train schedules? And did it work out? If so, you could accept the answer and close your question.

no, I did not yet, I read the howto but did not yet find time yet to follow it and eventually find swiss railway .ics export to be blocking sailfish OS calendar. Currently using android calendar app - missing lockscereen info. My problem: I need those train schedule .ics events almost daily. Kickin' em out will not really help.
