No mobile data after update to 2.1.1.26 Jolla 1 [answered]

After update to 2.1.1.26 my Jolla has not been able to use mobile data. My operator is Telia in Finland.

First upgrade to 2.1.1.26 resulted in dead device and I reset to factory settings in recovery mode. Factory version is really old (the first one Jolla 1) so I had to do number upgrades. I did use the phone between upgrades and did have working mobile data also. When I finally reached Jämsänjoki (2.1.1) I have had no mobile data in the device.

Any ideas what could cause this and what I could do? Phone is unsable if I cannot get mobile data back soon. One solution obviously is to reset the device again and not to the final upgrade step to 2.1.1. I'm not really keen on doing that.

The current solution (power-down) may point out to problems with the SIM or the firmware running inside the modem.

Happened to me too. I took away the battery for a while and rebooted; after that it came back up with networking OK :)

The problem was solved for me just by removing the battery for a while as juiceme suggested. Thank you!

This might be related to a problem I've been witnessing on my similarily upgraded Jolla 1 smartphone.

In my case, restarting the ofono.service seems to work :

 [nemo@Odysseus ~]$ devel-su
 Password: ********
 [root@Odysseus nemo]# systemctl restart ofono.service

Then the phone asks for the SIM-card PIN and everything is back to normal.
