Hi there,

even I don't like Windows i managed to install EMMA on my remaining Laptop (with Windows 7 premium). I managed to FLash the latest Sony Version (xxx.228) on my device but had problems to install tha fastboot drivers. So I tried to Flash on linux. That looked promising as there were no problems during flashing. But afterwards I couldn't boot the device. Only a white Screen withthe "Sony" were to see. Meanwhile I achieved to install the fastboot drivers on Windows. But flashing via Windows lead to the same result. I have to admitt that I unlocked the bootloader serveral weeks ago to install a custom ROM. I read somewhere in this forum that Sony changed the partitioning structure. Maybe that is somehow related. Anyone there who could help ?

OK. Next dumb question. How do I telnet via USB into the device. I thought Telnet works via IP/Network.

once 'fastbooted' with hybris recovery image, the USB connection will be seen as a network connection.

Try to remove SD and SIM card, if inserted. If working then you affected by this: here

If not working, you can re-flash your device with xperia-flashtool, then start from beginning. I hade to do it once, after I flashed the fifth community build. Also the white screen. Flashing with linux is ok. no difference between os. Just make sure to have a actual build on it (using Emma therefore is fine)

look at the answer here https://together.jolla.com/question/168926/sailfish-x-install-writing-oem-not-allowed/ the procedure should be the same (flash fastboot recovery image, then telnet and issue those commands)

I followed the instructions described in the link above. Copying and moving of mmblk blocks didn't do the trick but the Reset helped. Afterwards my device booted into Sailfish. Yeah ..... BUT After activating Developer mode (I was curious) I had to reboot (Is it Windows) and right again I was presented with the white Screen and the "SONY" Letters. How the F...ck ? The Jolla SW/Instructions are a joke. Even during the phone was working I had no MSExchange and no Android compatibility What to do now. Can someone help me.

Well, THAT has been the solution. Now it seems to be OK. After removing the Sdcard the device booted. I do not understand but now it's working. Let's see what comes next
