just to let you know:

i did spent 24 hrs trying to unlock the sony on windows 10. i did always fail to install google usb driver. only after i did move to my second laptop running windows 7 i was able to install the driver and unlock my phone.

this is already the second time that i can not do jolla related stuff on windows 10.

Same here. Win10 fails to install fastboot driver. Install process fails because the adb driver is not digitally signed.

I did manage to get things done on windows 10, and I'm a complete noob in comparison to most guys around here. It cost me 5 hours, but hell, I managed. I'm trying to retrace my steps so I can help other people who aren't that good with linux and terminals etc. But that's hard to remember how I did it. That says a lot. It's not that simple for normal people...

I unlocked and flashed my Xperia X succesfully yesterday using Windows 10 64-bit. The guide is over at https://jolla.com/sailfishxinstall/ as you should already know. The tricky part is between 2.3-2.15 where you must manually ("forcefully") install the driver. Even more tricky part is the unlocking process, but Sony provides a rather good guide as well.

other funny thing is: i never needed emma, cause at first it said my device is locked, and after i finally managed to unclock it, emma would not show anything, so i did skip the step. however i am bootin in sailfish !!!

I also unlocked with win 10 64-bit and I hadn't any problems. I noticed that Sonys unlock instruction says download android sdk, but that wasn't necessary because you could use fastboot.exe which came in Jollas packet.
