Deleting carddav (fruux) info from phone

I use fruux to sync my contacts and calendars. I saw that I had the dual calendar entries bug so I decided to remove fruux and start again. After removing my fruux account I rebooted the phone but my contacts are still there. I removed every account with the exception of the Jolla account but the contacts are still there.
Anyone know how to remove the contacts? Via command line is also fine.
I searched here and tried a few things from external sites but nothing has purged the database.
