Hello everyone,

after upgrading to 2.1.2.3 my Jolla (yes, still using Jolla 1) doesn't play multimedia-, ringtone and alarm-sounds anymore, the voice-speaker (for calling) is working.

Since this started to happen emediately after upgrading I don't think it's a hardware problem, and sometimes for some micro-seconds I can hear the ringtone before it gets silent.

I tried to restart the phone and looked up all possible system-settings, nothing worked. Yes, I upgraded exactely according to the recommendations (so I uninstalled CallRecorder for example).

Any suggestions? How can I restart the sound-System, if this is possible?

Thanks

I don't know if it will help you or not, but the audio system can be restarted. I've just tested this to make sure; I had mediaplayer open and a song playing, I then executed the following line of code;

systemctl --user restart pulseaudio

@ Edz Thanks for the advice, but unfortunately it didn't work. I just heard a multimedia sound again for a very short time, then it silenced again. Also no alarm-sound is playing.

OK, I uninstalled now CallRecorder from openrepos (I reinstalled it after the upgrade), restarted pulseaudio, and now at least the alarm-sound is working again. I will report later about the other sounds (multimedia, incoming calls ...). Don't know if it was the CallRecorder app or the pulseaudio restart via Lighthouse.
