Since there is no official announcement here, I want to keep those of you who do not follow the Jolla Blog updated:

As James has announced in a blog post yesterday, the Jolla Webshop (where you can buy Sailfish X licences) now accepts payments via Paypal and furthermore via E-banking in Germany, Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania (this option was available in Finland from the start).

Also, the installation guide was updated and now also contains instructions to flash Sailfish X via Linux and MacOS (without the need for Windows or EMMA) which is great news.

The EMMA tool is still needed if you unlock your bootloader before having the latest version.

Jolla Store accepts payments?, I think you mean Jolla Webshop, not Store.

You are right, I'll adjust the topic. Thanks.

@Filip K. No, you don't need EMMA to unlock the bootloader. You simply get the unlock key from the Sony site and then use fastboot for unlocking as described there.

@ghling I've rephrased my comment to be more clear:

The EMMA tool is still needed if you unlock your bootloader before having the latest Android version in order to update to the minimum needed one (version 34.3.A.0.228).
