I'm trying to get android Evernote working. Everything else seems to be working except reminders. I've made test reminders over twenty times and only got notification two times and first one was 40 minutes late and second one was 2 hours late. And the phone didn't stop vibrating until I tapped the notification. I used Android app notifications by Schturman and Evernote was added to it. I checked the androidnotificationpriorities file and Evernote was added to it but the reminders don't work. Is anyone else using Evernote and got it working? SailfishX 2.1.3.7 .

PS. K-9 mail client notifications aren't working properly either. Sometimes when I've got mail and I start Aptoide store it triggers notification for K-9 and usually after reboot at startup I get K-9 notifications but very rarely notification comes up when mail arrives.

Have you setup that these android applications are allowed to run in the background? You can do so by going to Settings -> Apps and tap on the Android App. The first checkbox presented is the one allowing this app to run in background which should then bring up the notifications even when the last android app is closed.

I haven't tested on SailfishX but I tried some android reminder apps on Jolla 1 and Jolla C but none of them worked for me, I reported this long time ago but nothing changed so I gave up... (I haven't used Schturman's patch that time, maybe that could solve this issue? And is that accurate if it works?) (btw apps what I wanted to use not on the list :) )

@leszek Yes, apps are allowed to run in background and I've checked that they do with lighthouse. But no luck.

@liqquid Schturman's patch may work, it didn't work in my case. Really don't know why because only thing ,as far as I know, it adds the app process automatically to androidnotificationpriorities-file and notifications should work after that. You can do that manually too. You can request Schturman to add the app you want into the patch and test it. But I don't know if that works, though.

For testing purposes I removed all entries from androidnotificationpriorities except WhatsApp, Telegram, K-9 mail and Evernote. As for now I got one notification from K-9 and one from Evernote, 2 minutes late though. I'll test tomorrow more.
