@ddark - and where is this menu in Whatsapp?, I cannot find anything like that at all....?

Not in Whatsapp but SailfishOS Systemsettings

I thought so too @leszek but I'm still curious to know where the menu that ddark is showing, as it is not present in my Whatsapp version.

Whatsapp -> Three dots -> Settings -> Messages

I got my version from YALP Store

I believe this menu is hidden if you did not enable contacts sharing in Sailfishs Android Support settings first. Got my WhatsApp from the Aptoide store.

Have you enabled Allow Android apps to access your contacts found in Settings/Android Support.

If you do not see Android Support in Settings, then go to Jolla Store and install Android Support found in Top apps or Jolla.

I need to enable an option within WhatsApp to show also hidden contacts. Don't know the right english text, on german system:
