Hello

i have a question about the licenses....
If we got a license for the sailfish X.

If on the other hand, we use it on an xperia X device already.
Or on the one hand we still not use it. May we use this license for future devices like Xperia XA2?

Would it be possible in both case to upgrade to Sfos V3?

Have a nice sail

Till now Sfos was straight forward: first you had 1.x then 2.x and now 3.x. Somewhere after 2.2.x you will have the version 3.0.0.x. That's all. Just a number. The infrastructure for many components of 3.x (like cryptsetup) are just implemented "backstage" in 2.1.4... so just wait for the OTA of 3.x.

https://www.golem.de/news/neue-sailfish-geraete-angeschaut-jolla-bringt-sailfish-os-auf-feature-phones-1802-132996.html (german):

" Wer bereits Sailfish X für sein Sony-Smartphone gekauft hat oder ein Jolla-Smartphone besitzt, bekommt das Update drahtlos geliefert.

Anyone who has already purchased Sailfish X for his Sony smartphone or owns a Jolla smartphone will receive the update OTA. "

And when it exists the community editions will follow...

XA2: New device, new license. What else? But if you have a licence for the XA2 then you may have an update to SF4 (or 5) too if these versions occur within the license validity period.

@cemoi71: Source? Ahem in our times? Just a joke. There is really no source of this statement, sorry.
