I'm experiencing performance issues in all applications with Jolla 1 phone since the 2.1.4.14 upgrade. It only occurs when moving fast through densely populated areas (it happens every time I take the bus in Paris). The problem disappears after a while when I stop moving or come in range of a known wifi network.

When the issue is noticeable, processes dbus-daemon, connmand and lipstick are all around 20 to 30% CPU as shown by top and there is heavy dbus activity related to wifi (maybe around ~15k messages per minute)

This issue may be related to this issue, but I have opened a separate one because this other issue seems to impact only specific applications (phone app & contacts)

Edit: after some more testing, behaviour seems not very consistent. Problem may be linked to lack of known Wifi hotspot in range rather than moving. Here is a dbus-monitor log extract showing the issue (time limited download). All of this spans over less than a minute.

I'm also experiencing slowness on Jolla 1, and this seems a reasonable explanation. I hadn't correlated with moving and density, but indeed at home it's faster.

I noticed a similar issue with Sailfish X when I was in a place with a lot of wifi networks and no known wifi. The phone got hot, was very sluggish and was draining the battery. I checked with top, and dbus daemon and lipstick were using a lot of processor time. When I disabled wlan, the problem immediately went away.

Consider turning WLAN OFF when not in range of known networks. :)

I confirm problem, may be related with "Weather service in Events View now tracks network connectivity status, and automatically refreshes when connectivity is regained."
