Request hotfix for contacts app crash

I would kie to get an official statement from Jolla about the fix for the contacts (people) app crash bug introduced with 2.1.4 release.
This bug makes a phone unusable at its core functionality (mind that I did write phone and not smartphone on purpose); given that people app is an app available in Jolla store, it should be not too hard to release a fix for it once the fix has been tested. This bug has been around since about 2 months and still no answer from Jolla about it. I am affected from this a lot as I do need to edit some contacts but I am unable to do so.
Please Jolla let the community know if you plan to release an hotfix or an app update on the store for this bug; if not, why it is necessary to wait for the next release (2.2 ? ) that will likely be publicly available in about one month at the earliest.
