Here WeGo - No internet connection on 4G or 3G connection
I'm using Here WeGo on my Xperia X installed from APK Pure. I keep getting a "No Internet" message from the Here WeGo app whenever I'm using mobile data. I'm unable to get traffic updates etc.
When I use WiFi Here WeGo has an internet connection and traffic updates work. I have updated to the latest version from APK Pure. The problem existed before I updated.
I have checked the internet connection by using the browser and I can access websites while on mobile data.
Any ideas?
There have been issues with Here WeGo before:

They're generally fixed in a different version. You don't mention any software versions, what Sailfish and Here WeGo versions do you have? If you uninstall and re-install, does this make a difference? Do any other Android apps not work when not using a WLAN connection? What was the last version that worked?

I went and checked other Android apps. To start with I didn't think that was the problem as I use Opera browser which is an Android app and that was working. However it appears some Android apps work on mobile data and some don't.
Fitbit, Exchange Rates, Here WeGo, Sports Tracker don't work on mobile data , Opera, WindyTy, Skype Linked In all seem to work work. Hmmmm

Right now I am connected with 4G mobile data connection via T-Mobile Germany. For me it seems working since I can see the usual traffic jams in my area when I am activating the traffic layer in Here WeGo.
Strange that it is not working for you but for me.
vision ( 2018-04-30 12:57:20 +0200 )editI turned the phone off and restarted it and Here WeGo connected to the mobile data. So for now the problem is fixed. Time will tell if it was a one off occurrence.
AlanBreen ( 2018-05-01 13:26:33 +0200 )editDon't have an answer but I've had this before. Turning data on before starting Here usually means no problems. I wondered if it was the Android compatibility layer not recognising the data change? (Here Maps is my only Android app so the two normally start together.)
