Hi guys,

on my Xperia I have restored factory settings but now when I want to install apps sometimes packages are missing. Therefore I wanted to reflash the latest image on my phone, but I get this error.

Do I have to reflash android on windows first with this emma tool before I can reflash SailfishX on a SailfishX phone? That seems quite stupid to me.

Usually it's possible to reflash the Sailfish X image without having to use the Sony's Emma tool (Windows).

But like you wrote, somehow your Android base is too old (34.3.A.0.217 instead of 34.3.A.0.228). Since your device is already unlocked you therefore need the Emma flashing tool on Windows in order to update to 34.3.A.0.228 or higher.

not somehow. Seems like installing Saiflsh did it.

Now I tried 1 1/2h to get fastboot working because it doesnt like they state on their instructions. Updating the driver doesnt work.

Installing Sailfish doesn't downgrade the Android base. So unfortunately idk why you have an outdated Android version. If you have problems installing the fastboot driver on windows, you can just use the Sony Emma tool to update the Android-base and then flash Sailfish using Linux.

Flashing Android Oreo didnt help either. The error still occurs. I still have 2.1.3.5, therefore I have flashed this one now, which has worked quite fine.
