I have some friends with dual sim mobile phones, and they are able to have 2 whatsapp icons (one for each sim). I could not find anything on openrepos, could this feature be considered for future releases of Sailfish?

If you are talking about native applications ... nope.
If you want the android WhatsIt and similar you may try ParallelSpace (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lbe.parallel.intl&hl=en) on GooglePlay (where I have no idea it will work with SFOS android layer).
Foumd with startpage and "whatsapp two accounts on one device", first hit.

The FAQ of WhatsApp is quite clear that you can only use one number. You will have to choose which number you want to choose. https://faq.whatsapp.com/en/general/21009863/?category=5245245 There is nothing that an app on OpenRepos could do for you.

Thank you for the replies, and your time. I think parallel space is the one, it is available on the aptoide store, but I am happy to stick with one number, and my native apps.
