I understand the Sailfish OS SDK/IDE is still in its infancy, but in order to provide a more efficient development kit for cross-platform developers, it would be amazing if Jolla could release a Qt Creator plugin alongside the modified version of Qt Creator that currently ships. This gives all developers the flexibility of using one Qt Creator for their cross platform development, or just sticking to the Sailfish IDE if they prefer

I completely agree. Not always easy to maintain several Qt Creator besides (more or less)...

It also makes a lot of sense when software is kept up-to-date from a central repository, like it is on many Linux distributions. And I can see that keeping their modified version of Qt Creator current (security updates!) is not a priority for Jolla.
