Tutanota email stopped working on Xperia X today

Not much else to add to the title. Totanota (Android) stopped working today on my Xperia X. Message is: "Please update Tutanota. The current installed version is too old and not supported any longer." I can click some OK button but nothing meaningful happens. FDroid lists the installed application at version 2.15.4 while the latest version from Tutatota is at 3.48.5 as per FDroid for Android. Anyone has some workaround on this. BTW, buying the XA2 is unlikely as I live on the other side of the lake....

Workaround is to use a webbrowser to login in tutanota. As long as alien dalvik does not support the needed Android version for the tutanota app there is no other way unfortunately. I myself use firefox on the XperiaX. Hope this helps.
