Hi,

I have been using my XA2 Plus DualSim for a while with Hossa 3.0.3.9 quite successfully between a good mixture of native apps an some android ones.

I have a few IMAP email accounts configured and a CalDav. Once I added the CardDav to the mix (around 300 contacts with some contact images, etc) the Android support started to misbehave, to the point after two days that is was unusable, no apps would successfully run and the display would go dark, etc.

I will proceed to add again the DAV accounts to verify this behaviour and I currently don't have any logs. Just wondering if anybody has experienced something similar or if there is a clear correlation.

Thanks,

Rob

Hi Rob,

where did you add the CalDAV? Sailfish OS Accounts? Or via some Android app?

I have the problem that my Android runtime is constantly crashing since I think 3.0.1 or 3.0.2 (don't remember exactly) and when trying to find out what's wrong I noticed that sync daemons have been constantly active. I have a CalDav account setup within Sailfish OS with lots of contacts as well.

Have you tried removig the CalDav account? Did it help?

I did some research and it seems that alien dies shortly after this:

May 30 19:53:54 Sailfish [6200]: [D] unknown:0 - Notifying Alien contacts service of all current contacts: 659

At least it seems nothing else is happening from that point on and after 1.5 minutes alien dalvik dies.

Hi Yo, I add it to the Sailfish OS accounts side. Removing the account seems to help yes. But I also got 3.0.3.10 update... so not sure which one did help the most :)

I will try also to add the caldav and the carddav then I will try to look on the log for the error you are mentioning. Will report my findings.

Good god! I just deleted my CalDAV account and for the first time in months I am again able to use Android support! Hooray!

You are my hero! Now all we need is a saviour who can help and fix the problem.

@chrisadams Could you be our sailing saviour? Or maybe you have an idea how to pinpoint the problem?
