I couldn't find any existing topic that would match my problem.

My setup: XA2 + 3.0.3.10

I travelled inside Finlands borders to Åland and here is another operator, so telephone is roaming although still in same country. First one day and night telephone worked here nicely, but today morning suddenly very unstable network and mobile data and simultaneously also Android support failed and ceased to work. I've rebooted device about 20 times and sometimes I get network after long waiting, sometimes not. But Android support is totally dead. In the settings menu both "start" and "stop" buttons are greyed out, I can't press them. Tried to uninstall and re-install Android support. No effect whatsoever...

Any ideas? Help? Hjälp! I don't know how I would debug my phone back alive now... do I need to reflash already... :-(

Tried some things from TJC but nothing seemed to work. Android support stayed dead. Furthermore network problem became permanent too. Phone said that SIM card is not inserted. Tried SIM card in another phone : works flawlessly. Tried another SIM card in XA2 : "no sim card inserted" says it. At this point I had enough about it. I factory resetted. Well, Android support is functional again but SIM card not inserted problem is here to stay :( Interesting enough, at one point XA2 said "Sim card removed" although it was saying it was not inserted. But this was one time behaviour.

I guess I need to flash back to android and reflash to SFOS >:(

3.0.3.10 is the worst update jolla brought to the public 3.0.3.9 was more stable on all fronts. XA 2 is actually simply too buggy to use as daily driver.

I have to agree with you Raymaen, it is too buggy...

And now the phone won't recognize SIM-card anymore... oh dear lord...

Roaming and deactivated SIM cards is an known issue already and there are threads covering it. I am able to reliably deactivate my SIM card by diaabling wifi -> cross a border and get on a roaming network -> activate ams connect wifi -> et voila, my sim is deactivated and I need to reboot phone, which triggers same behaviour, as long as wifi still connects.

I had to revert back to Android with these instructions: https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004283713 Emma gave firmware version 50.1.A.something and it was Android 8.1 and goes well with Sailfish. Do NOT flash with Emma version starting with 50.2.A.something... Sailfish CANNOT be flashed on 50.2.A...

Android found the SIM card without any problems whatsoever. Flashed Sailfish back and now Sailfish also finds the SIM card again.

I did delete the SIM card "app". I mean the app that comes automatically as the last app into the launcher (logo looks like a SIM card) and that's when my problems started (atleast a coincidence). I did delete that "app" many times before too but it always came back. This time it didn't. Note to self: Don't delete it anymore... Jolla, take a note on this too!
