Will the phone automatically detect correctly the next update (1.0.3.3)?

Yes, system updates are detected automatically and you will be notified.

The only problem with update notifications is getting too many of them, if 1.0.2.5 is anything to go by ...

I have also received multiple update notifications for the already installed 1.0.2.5. In the last couple of days the notifications have increased, and I couldn't help wondering if it might actually be the newer update that is trying to notify itself. =)

@tajunta: You should be able to check whether the "update" is a new one: |- Settings | System settings | About product | pulley menu: Check for update -|. The new entry "Updates" in the list shown should tell you whether it is worthwhile updating. (So far, there is not version above 1.0.2.5.)
