Is it worth to upgrade to 3.x? [answered]
Hello, fellow sailors!
For two years I'm using SailfishX. Currently, I'm still on 2.2.1.18, because until last days I was fully ok with it's functionality. Plus, I've read a lot about battery problems on 3.x here, and prefer long lasting experience. The main problem is sailfish-browser, which is outdated beyond compare. Using it with my favorite tech-oriented site after rewriting began to bring back "r.includes is not a function" error, while Android browsers behave themselves healthy.
So, I'm about to cross the Rubicon and want to ask you, is it worth to update to 3.x for browser features, that will come in price of battery drain? Is there any other problems that I'm not aware of?
Thank you in advance!
if you have a Xperia X I'd say no problem unless you're using OsmAnd for maps. A XA2 will suck more so the bigger battery makes not much difference over the X. You get new features, but some patches will not work as they are not maintained anymore, like Ancelad's Voicecall combined Patch. But it's a nice solid upgrade all the same.

Aa @danfin here pointed out multiple good reasons and comparisation; there aren't any major changes to X. The browser engine is still too old and at least on my XA2 doesn't satisfy my basic needs. Sailfish OS is now officially on 3.1 and haven't heard a lot that Xperia X would suffer from battery drain (correct me if I'm wrong). By this, I don't see any major reason why not to upgrade the phone.
Btw @voulo, If you think you've got enough answers now, please close the question
