Upgrading from Xperia X but can't find any Xperia XA2 anymore

I have an Xperia X and was thinking of upgrading to get newer android API support. The problem is that Xperia XA2 is getting real hard to buy, i can't find it anywhere in Sweden anymore. Even if i was able to find a Xperia XA2 the problem still exists that SailfishOS supported devices are being phased out of the market. Will there be new devices supported soon that's still available on the market?

during last community meeting Jolla said that in 2-3 weeks they make oficial statement about AD for Xperia X.

On ebay there is a uk seller who seel xa2 refurbished for decent price and different quality. pristine is around 140€

@atlochowski i just checked the log of the meeting and it would be in the next "Sailfish OS update blog post". I would gladly pay for a new Sailfish license to get newer AlienDalvik support for my Xperia X. That said the problem still exists that when a phone breaks och get stolen there won't be new supported devices to buy, or anything for new sailors.

It's a little bit off topic, but if I m not mistaken, theire are still no news about an upgrade of AD on Xperia X. If they at least say "theire will be no upgrade"...

@kayoux I wouldn't blame them if they say no. I think those resources could be better spent on XA2 or maybe a new device in the future. I don't like that Xperia X might not get upgraded AlienDalvik but i would understand it. When the resources are limited then it should be spent where it's best for the future instead of the past models.

The HADK HAD-kit for Sony Xperia 10 is available since July. At least 1 sailor is using it as daily driver (his own quote), so except for your mentioned alien-dalvik proprietary support you can have SailfishOS on it today.

Xperia 10 is a phone that i can buy but i still need alien-dalvik. I was hoping to upgrade in the near future.

I am hoping SailfishX will be available in the near feature aswell for Xperia 10 and 10 Plus.

P.S.: AD from XA2 works good on the Xperia 10 Plus already.

Do Alien-Dalvik from XA2 work on Xperia 10? Maybe it's possible to install AD from XA2 but i want to pay for the license. Let's hope that it will be easy to support Xperia 10 and that it gets official support soon.

Yep buy.jolla-devices.com ;-) would be a good solution, but if you can do the process alone, why not look in this order: - ebay targeting some good listing - single, national ecommerce offer (it depend from season) - local physical store deal - amazon

No seller on amazon delivered to Sweden. I could find new devices shipped from Europe but there wasn't much of a good deal, many seams pretty pricey. The sales on JD-Store has ok prices and they seem to ship to many countries.

yep, because the prices are based on temporary, local outlets in Italy, one of the most smartphone addicted nation. (I am J-D :-) so I don't want to be too pushy!) At this point I know that Xperia, Sony smartphones have a price curve with very high launch price, out of market (!), then fastly dropping to the reasonable price, then dropping slowly until the summer. Lastly devices becomes rare and only the more costly store remain in stock. :-/

-> Look also at Helsinki, don't remember the name, but the biggest tech FINNISH store was doing discounts.

Why don't you buy it on Amazon, ebay or anywhere else in the EU. I just bought mine for 179 € at aldi-talk.de in Germany.

To my knowledge, the Xa2 were sold at Aldi only in the stores (not online) It was a short offer. I could buy one more there for 149, - €. There may still be leftovers. But only in the Stores.
