All the questions to the umlauts topic and the answers to in this forum did not helped me solve my problem. e.g. CalDAV not supporting umlauts?

My problem: Creating an event "Öamtc" (containing the german umlaut "Ö") on mobile works fine. After sync with SOGo server results in

Server: „Öamtc“

Mobile: „Öamtc"

Laptop: „Öamtc“

My setting:

Server: SOGo Version 2.3.23 with CalDAV

Mobile: Sony Xperia X with Sailfish OS Version 3.1.0.11

Laptop: Linux Mint 18.1 with Thunderbird Version 60.9.0 (64-Bit) and the Add-On „Lightning“ Version 6.2.9 from Mozilla Calendar Projects

Is there a way to configure this in Sailfish OS X encodings settings?

Is there another way to fix my problem?

Thanks!

it works well with Google calendar syncing here, but that is not quite the same.

@waterstorm, is the problem still here with 3.2.1 ? I think it has been solved with https://together.jolla.com/question/185738/unicode-characters-in-calendar-caldav/
