I experienced many problems with the Jolla Email app and attachments in the last days. As those attachements are the only way to exchange data between my Fedora machine at work and my Jolla, this is huge problem for me.

I sent some mails to my account with attachments (rpm, tar.gz and jpg files), but the mail app doesn't download them and there is no way to trigger it. Sometimes it works and the app downloads e.x. a tar.gz file. I never had success with rpms. Yesterday archiving them in a tar.gz worked. Some minutes ago I sent a mail with two jpg images and one mail with a tar.gz and none of the attachements were downloaded. At the moment I don't see a clear reason why and when this happens and cannot reproduce the issue every time.

My girl friends Jolla sometimes has the same problem. But the mail with the tar.gz some minutes ago, which I also sent to her in CC, was transferred successfully and her mail app downloaded the tar.gz attachment successfully.

Very strange.

You mean when you click in the attachments nothing happens ? Is the state not download and the progress bar does not start ?

What kinda of account are you using ? (IMAP/POP/Exchange)

Correct. The state is not downloaded and onclick there's only a short highlight and no progress bar.

I'm using IMAP4.

On another Mail, which is quite older I'm able to download a pdf file from the attachments.

Very interesting is, that in the mail with two jpg files I'm able to download the second, but not the first one. Tested only the first one until now.

Now I connected via SSH to the Jolla and ran journalctl -f while I was clicking on the not downloaded attachment. Result: nothing :-/

I also tried to get another mail with the same issue, while running journalctl, but I had no "success".

if you can get the logs would be helpful, in:

/home/nemo/.config/QtProject/Messageserver.conf

enable file log and add a path for the log, like for example:

[FileLog]
Enabled=1
Path=/home/nemo/Documents/messageserver.log

Reboot the device and reproduce the problem, send me the log file to vdvtest100 at gmail dot com. After that turn file log off again by setting "enabled" to 0.Thanks a lot!
