I have noticed, that andriod support consumes a lot of my XA2 memory, causing often OOM actions on various SFOS apps.

Looking on memory consumption, there are among others:

  • com.android.phone ~2% memory
  • com.android.providers.calendar 1.5%
  • memory com.android.printspooler 1%

Is there a possibility to stop at least some of them? phone application seems useless for me.

I was never android user so I have no idea how to do such things. Quick ddg search also didn't reveal any hints.

At least to me the issue with Android support memory isn't that itself uses too much memory but sometimes after using an app and killing it on Sailfish side, the app just hangs there consuming 10-20% RAM. On the other hand, there's no battery drain. This is my experience on Xperia XA2 dual-sim running 3.2.1 version.

There could be some elements in Android support not implemented on the SFOS side that could be reimplemented as placeholders. Or that may have been done already, I don't really know.

I have had almost "two pages" worth of opened applications with plenty of them being Android apps and I haven't ran into OOM situations. How many apps you even have?
