It's boring when the screen rotate in some situation, like when I'm in bed, and I have to keep my phone in strange way to maintain the screen like I want, we need a toggle to lock rotation, don't you agree?

Let Settings have a new item under System->Look and feel ->
Orientation [rotate | portrait | landscape]always add a return to defaults to the pulley-menu (for people not knowing what default was)

A quick, easy and always available way: A toggle in the Events screen. I know that the Events screen isn't used for any settings right now so this would change its nature a bit, but still: It's the one place you can always reach with one gesture and thus the most natural place for a toggle like this.

Looks like something close to want you were asking for is coming with the next update:

this doesn't look like a good solution to me, as my orientation often gets switched when i'm not even actively moving the device. In some cases even the centrifugal acceleration in busses or cars triggers an orientation switch. The other way round could work for me tough.

There are many rotation-lock apps on Android, despite Android having options for landscape and portrait lock in the settings. Primarily this is to make rotation lock faster to access than the time it takes to dig through the settings to change between manual portrait, manual landscape, and auto-rotation. It goes to show how quickly the rotation lock needs to be available.
I would like to suggest a minimalistic solution: A "rotate to here" gesture, directly accessible from within any application. You set rotation mode to manual in the settings, turning off all auto-rotation. This enables a quickly accessible gesture that immediately rotates the screen to the current orientation of the phone and re-locks it there whenever the gesture is used.
The gesture could be anything, a button would suit the Android paradigm. For the Jolla, perhaps you draw a down-pointing "V" on the screen?
This would simplify the setting too, you only have two options: manual and auto-rotate, so you could reduce it to a check-box for "Auto-rotate" on or off.

There will apparently be a function to temporarily disable screen auto-rotation, by holding a finger on the screen when rotating the phone to keep rotation locked during that particular turn. The solution is great for many cases, but I would like to see something more:
I would like the opposite behavior too: If you set the phone to non-dynamic rotation (i.e. turn off auto-rotation), I would like to have a temporary rotation turned on when you hold the finger to the screen during the turn.

To me it would suffice if the screen only rotated 90 degrees. For the time being I'm unable to figure out the point of the 180 degree rotation it currently uses.
In any case, the browser is currently unusable while lying which I hope will be addressed by Jolla.

It could just fine compensate the rotation in only one side.

It was actually a pleasant surprise when I first got my Jolla that it (for the most part) didn't support landscape, as I never had to worry about it auto-rotating. Now that auto-rotating is a thing... I'd love to be able to turn this off.
