Xperia 10 Plus Bluetooth issues with Android

I have searched but couldn't find much relative info.

I have started using a Bluetooth / NFC bridge for a specific app I need to use but I cannot enable Bluetooth for Android apps in the Aliendalvik settings. The visual switch is there, but it is grayed out and doesn't work.

As I understand Bluetooth under Android support is only partly functional, does anyone know will this ever be fixed?

FYI the app is Xdrip+ and the Bluetooth/NFC bridge is called Miao Miao 2, it is for Diabetes blood glucose monitoring in conjunction with a Freestyle Libre sensor, the app installs and runs as it should (without some cloud backup stuff because of no google).

Does anybody have any input on a way to get this working?

I've been using SailfishOS as my main phone OS for the last year and have had to pull out an old crappy Samsung to get this setup working, but I'd really like to stay with SailfishOS....

As far as I understand, Bluetooth is not visible to Android apps at all. Sailfish uses Bluez as it's Bluetooth stack, which doesn't seem to be compatible with the Bluetooth stack used by Android. Hence Alien Dalvik doesn't support Bluetooth at all, Android apps use higher layers of communication provided by SailfishOS

iThere are some polish university master students who have made a Sailfish-native glucose monitoring app in one of their project.
