Declining incoming call

Every time I decline an incoming call I get a missed call notification from my operator (Vodafone.de). The caller gets the voice info that I wasn't available and shortly after the call get's a SMS that I'm available again. I got the impression that Jolla sends a message to the operator that is not intended for declined calls. Instead of not available a rejected or busy indicator would be preferable.

I haven't found alternative methods in the dbus interface of active call, and couldn't browse the source code of the phone app, which seems to be closed source.

Are you aware of a way to change the way when rejecting a call?

Maybe it is just your mailbox settings?

Declined calls get directed to your mailbox and you are notified as well as the caller.

The declined call as opposed as juste silence from the puley is not redirected to the voicemail . It is just sabering the call tentative in progress. That is why the operator is giving a voice recorded message that the call can not go trough. And for some operators they may have different sets of "curtesy" notifications for that case. May seem nice from the operator point of view to enable and offer by default but may be anoying from the user side. But regardless , choosing to decline and abruptly closing the line is rather rude and should simply redirect right away to the voice mailbox. I am on dual boot and on the Android side declining is redirecting to the voice mail.Jolla could improve that logic.

Actually I don't have a voice mailbox active at all. If I call colleagues and they reject my call I don't get those messages. Will check precisely how Android and Apple reject calls and report tomorrow.
