Use Repo Apps with Changed DNS

Using a dns changer for adblock/security, (Keweon), which uses a root certificate and dns change, which I did by deleting symlink /etc/resolv.conf, and creating an actual file with different nameservers. Working great with browsers, but get connection error with repo apps, (Storeman, Jolla Store, etc.). Any idea how to fix? Thanks
Instead of fiddling with the system's file, why not using a local block list e.g. via https://openrepos.net/content/nodevel/defender ? That should also be faster compared to using an external DNS service.
