After installing sailfishos on my phone I cannot get wireless to work. I have a Sony Xperia 10 plus, model i3223. After working with it for some time, I was able to get into recovery mode and I reflashed. Still no joy. I used the DLs SW_binaries_for_Xperia_Android_9.0_2.3.2_v9_ganges.zip and Sailfish_OS-Jolla-3.3.0.16-i3213-0.0.4.7 to flash. Getting into recovery after the first flash was rather difficult since Volume UP+plug-in usb gave me a green light instead of blue.

This is not my first rodeo. Of all the embedded devices in the house, only a couple use stock firmware. I find it very difficult to work with sailfish. Maybe it is the security features thwarting me. No adb/fastboot connection.

I also had trouble trying to set a PIN. I entered a 4 digit PIN and nothing happened. No enter/set button.

Can I back this out to reinstall Xperia? How? How do I relock the bootloader? If Xperia Connection installs Andoid 10, will I be unable to install sailfish again? Please advise.

kind regards, wonka

Did you use Android before flashing SailfishOS? Did Wifi work there?

Is wifi connection not working at all or you do not get your network shown?

As leszek said.

Regarding the PIN(?): If you mean the device lock security code this must be at least 5 digits long.

Do not update it to Andy10 (at least for now)

Doh! No wonder I had a problem. When I got my phone, I let it update to android 10 and then I did not notice the information about not trying sailfish on android 10. A problem of my own making. I (finally!) back leveled to android 9. That was an adventure in itself. I'll try sailfish again in a while.

Thanks for drawing my mistake to my attention.

See "Guide: Installing Sailfish X on Xperias", specifically point 1.1.5. ;)

Amazing how much better things work when one follows directions. Sailfish is running. Forgetting my initial problem, it has been a positive experience so far. I'll be purchasing if things keep going the way they are.
