Sailfish or Android support development [answered]
While the community grows, there will surely be a lot of development in both. But now in the beginning, I'd like to open a poll if we should, as a community, concentrate to Sailfish, Android support or both here? (Passenger opinion please - I know which one the crew is after)
In all selections, I suppose the most voted questions and answers will decide the priority. Sleep over night before voting, as there are some deeper issues to think first:
- Consentrating on Sailfish easily leads to situation that you're top Android Apps will not run perfectly for a longer while, and you'll be dealing with developing beta versions of Sailfish apps. However, there will be more of them.
- Consentrating to Android support will reduce the need for developing Sailfish Apps. However, If we get already long developed and great Android app running perfectly, do we need a native app?
- Consentrating on both slows thing down in both sides, until there's a bigger community and more Sailors in work. It might also lead into a situation where development competes with itself - e.g. do we develop Sailfish OS to enable better hardware support for already good Android Apps, or do we develop Sailfish SDK tools and encourage app developers to create more & better native apps?
